What is the Natural Health Coach Certification, and what does it mean?

The Natural Health Coach (NHC) Certification recognizes that you have completed the Global Healing Institute training program and demonstrated a working understanding of its health-coaching principles and root cause healing methodology.

It equips you to educate, support, and empower others through natural health coaching and lifestyle guidance, grounded in Dr. Group’s root cause wellness principles. Graduates put this certification to use in many ways:

• Building a professional coaching practice, one on one or in groups.
• Working in natural health food stores and wellness retail.
• Aligning with natural health professionals like chiropractors, massage therapists, and acupuncturists as a complementary root cause resource.
• Creating their own brand, from supplement lines to signature coaching programs.
• Becoming a thought leader on social media and in their community.
• Public speaking, including podcasts, interviews, summits, and live events.
• Writing, including books, blogs, newsletters, and educational content.
• Supporting family, friends, and loved ones with real root cause knowledge.
• Enhancing an existing career in the wellness or healthcare field.

Throughout, you become a knowledgeable guide and educator, while encouraging clients to work alongside licensed healthcare professionals when appropriate.

Graduates may also pursue Board Certification through the AANWC (American Association of Natural Wellness Coaches). The AANWC is the leading board certification organization for natural wellness coaches and accredits over one hundred schools. GHI is the exclusive host of the AANWCB Board Certification Exam Prep Course, and GHI graduates are eligible to apply for the board certification exam or the non-exam credential path.

Board certified coaches receive a verified digital credential through the Accredible platform. The credential is shareable, clickable, and verifiable in real time, so clients and employers can confirm your certification status instantly. Exam-passers are also added to the AANWC professional registry. This is a meaningful professional distinction in a field where verifiable credentials set you apart.

Graduates may also pursue affiliation with the Guardian Ecclesiastical Holistic Association (GEHA).

What makes Dr. Group’s approach unique?

Is there a “right” age to begin?

There is no “right” age to begin. One of the most remarkable things about the Global Healing Institute is the range of our community. We have students as young as 18 and others well into their 80s, all learning side by side and sharing experiences, wisdom, and a common passion for health.

Some students are building or expanding a career. Others are supporting a friend or loved one. And many are walking their own healing journey. As Dr. Group often says, he will always be a student, because learning never ends. This is more than a certification. It is a lifelong path of growth, healing, and discovery.

No matter where you are in life, if you have a desire to learn and help others, you will fit right in. That diversity, together with teaching what no one else in the world is teaching, is one of the things that makes this community so special.

TIME AND MATERIALS

How long will it take to complete the certification?

The NHC is a self-paced program. Some graduates finish in as little as three to six months, and others take a year or longer. With the required reading, videos, and coursework, the certification calls for an estimated minimum of 1,000 hours of study and application.

GHI was built this way with purpose. Self-learning for self-healing is at the heart of the vision and mission we share with our students. Knowledge learned is not the same as knowledge lived. Students are encouraged to move thoughtfully, working through each course and protocol as part of their own healing and self-care before sharing that wisdom with others. The goal is to embody it.

What makes this so meaningful is that many students enroll as part of their own healing journey, or to better support a friend, family member, or loved one. Every journey here is unique.

As Dr. Group reminds us: trust the timing, and know you will be exactly where you are meant to be, at exactly the right place and the right time. There is no race to the finish. Healing is a journey, and the wisdom you gain along the way becomes the greatest gift you can offer yourself and those you are called to serve.

Yes. The certification is designed to give you both the knowledge and the confidence to support others on their health journeys. You will also build the skills at the heart of good coaching: listening well, building trust, and meeting people where they are.

What business training is included?

The certification includes practical business training so you can confidently begin working with clients after graduation. You will learn how to:

What will I be able to do with clients?

As a certified Natural Health Coach, you will educate, guide, support, and empower people to take responsibility for their own health by identifying and addressing root causes. You will help clients understand how factors like nutrition, detoxification, gut health, toxicity, lifestyle, stress, and environmental exposures affect their overall wellness. You will help them make informed choices, build healthier habits, and bring natural health principles into daily life.

I am already a health professional. How would this benefit my practice?

Dr. Group teaches what no one else in the world teaches. If you are already a health professional, this certification is designed to expand your practice with a root cause foundation that complements both conventional and holistic disciplines.

Most practitioners are trained to manage symptoms. This program teaches that the root cause of all disease is internal and external toxicity. The toxic gut, the toxic liver, parasites, and chemicals and heavy metals are the four instigators, the places that toxicity accumulates and what it drives. By understanding and addressing those underlying factors, you will be better equipped to educate, guide, and support your clients with greater confidence and lasting impact.

What is the earning potential for a health coach?

Earnings vary widely with your experience, specialization, location, and how you structure your work. Health coaching is a field with real room to grow. As a general reference, national salary data shows health coaches in the U.S. typically earning in the $50K to $75K per year range in a stable job or private practice.

From there, the ceiling rises. With more experience, a defined specialty, or a scalable model such as group programs and online courses, many coaches reach $80K to $150K or more. Certified coaches, in particular, tend to sit toward the higher end of national reported ranges. Entry-level or part-time work usually starts lower, especially when coaching hours are limited.

I do not live in the United States. Can I take the certification?

Yes, absolutely. The Global Healing Institute serves a truly global audience, with students learning from all over the world. The worldwide monthly payment plan at $329 per month is specifically designed for international students. You can enroll here.

Can I get a refund if it is not the right fit?

You may cancel your payment plan within 14 days of beginning, and receive a 100% refund. This refund policy only applies to the first payment in this plan, and to less than 10% of your content being viewed.

To request a refund, contact GHI customer support by email or phone and we will guide you through the process. If eligible, refunds are issued to your original payment method (minus any applicable processing fees) within a standard processing period.

Requests made outside the 14-day window, or after accessing more than 10% of the course, are not eligible. No exceptions.
