Dr. Group founded the Global Healing Institute to teach what he has spent more than three decades learning, that the human body holds an extraordinary self-healing mechanism, and that health returns when it is understood and supported.
The Institute is a place of education, what Dr. Group likes to call self-learning for self-healing. Through free resources, in-depth courses, and full certifications, Dr. Group shares the root-cause principles and natural health methods that have guided his own life and the lives of so many others. His hope is simple. He wants you to make yourself healthy and happy again, to become your own researcher, to live what you learn, and in time, to share it with the people you love.
Who is Dr. Edward Group, DC?
Dr. Edward Group, DC, is the founder of the Global Healing Institute. For more than 30 years he has devoted his life to one pursuit, understanding how the body heals when it is given what it truly needs.
His work began with his own health journey.
He explained that when he asked patients one question, many had never been given an answer. They knew their diagnosis, but no one had explained why they developed the condition in the first place.
The main question Dr. Group said he began asking was: “Why do you have this disease?”
That led him to focus on identifying and addressing root causes rather than treating symptoms alone.
That grew into a lifelong study of natural health, cleansing, and the root-cause principles he now teaches. He remains a student to this day, because he believes learning is a path that never ends.
What is root-cause healing?
Root cause healing is about understanding why symptoms or illness are happening rather than focusing only on the symptoms themselves.
Dr. Group teaches that the root cause of disease comes down to toxicity in both the internal and external environment. His approach focuses on educating yourself, identifying potential sources of toxicity, and supporting the body’s natural self-healing process through cleansing, healthy choices, and whole-person balance.
What makes the Global Healing Institute different?
What sets the Global Healing Institute apart is that the learning is also the healing. The coursework is the protocol. You are the first person you heal, and everything you study you first live for yourself.
Dr. Group teaches in a way that no one else in the world is teaching, and he built this school so that you may move at the pace your own healing requires, with a community walking beside you. This is not information to collect. It is a way of living to embody.
What is the difference between your courses and your certifications?
Dr. Group’s courses and certifications share the same root-cause foundation, and they serve different purposes. A course focuses on a single subject, such as fasting, the liver, or vibrant living, and you may take it purely for your own knowledge and health.
A certification is a complete program built from many courses. The Natural Health Coach Certification, for example, is taught across 12 courses. A certification recognizes that you have completed the full training and understand how to guide others, should you choose to. Many students begin with a single course and continue toward a certification as their own healing deepens.
The Global Healing Institute offers 3 certifications. The Natural Health Coach Certification sits at its core, and the Institute additionally offers an Applied Kinetic Science Certification and a Juice Therapy Certification. Students are welcome to take one or all of them, and each stands on its own, with no certification required before another.
If I take your courses, do I have to become a coach?
You do not. Roughly half of the students in the Global Healing Institute’s certification programs never intend to coach anyone. They enroll for their own health, or to care for someone they love. Many find that, after their own root-cause healing success, they feel called to guide others. The other half come dedicated to becoming a certified Natural Health Coach, whether to build a business of their own or to fill the missing piece in an existing practice. Students arrive from every kind of background you can imagine, and not only those related to health.

I am new here. Where should I start?
The gentlest place to begin is with the free resources Dr. Group has created for you. The 6 Secrets to Total Body Detox answers the question Dr. Group is asked most often, which is where detoxification truly begins. The Root Cause Mindset masterclass, a free teaching of 90 minutes, shows you how Dr. Group sees health at its very foundation. Do I need a medical or health background to enroll?
You need no prior background of any kind. Dr. Group’s programs are written to meet you exactly where you are, whether you are beginning your very first study of natural health or bringing many years of experience to it. What matters most is your desire to learn and to care for yourself and others.
I am already a health or medical professional. What can these courses or certifications offer me?
A health or medical background is never required to study here, and it is far from a prerequisite. What the Global Healing Institute offers is something else entirely, because it teaches what no one else in the world is teaching.
Many health professionals have joined to deepen their knowledge of root-cause healing, and they find it to be the missing piece in their training, their credentials, and their business. It complements the disciplines they already practice, whether conventional or holistic, and gives them a root-cause foundation for guiding others.
Can I study for my own health, or for someone I love, rather than as a career?
Yes, and many do. This is one of the truest reasons people come to the Global Healing Institute. You may study only to make yourself healthy and happy again, or to support a friend, a family member, or a loved one who is struggling. The learning belongs to you, to use in whatever way serves your life.
Is there an age requirement?
The Global Healing Institute welcomes students of nearly every age. Some are homeschooling students as young as 13, and others are enrolled well into their 80s in the Natural Health Coach Certification. There are even members at the young age of 91 pursuing single course studies, all learning together in the same community. If you carry the desire to learn, you belong here.
Can I enroll from outside the United States?
Yes. The Global Healing Institute serves a global community, with students learning from all over the world. For international students, Dr. Group also offers a payment plan created with your needs in mind, so that distance and currency remain no barrier to your health.
Do the certifications allow me to work with others?
A certification from the Global Healing Institute recognizes that you have completed the training and understand its root-cause principles. It prepares you to educate, guide, and support others in natural health and lifestyle.
Graduates of the Natural Health Coach Certification who wish to pursue additional recognition may also seek board certification through the AANWC and affiliation with the GEHA. Dr. Group always encourages students, and the people they serve, to work alongside a licensed healthcare professional when appropriate.
Can I speak with someone before I purchase a course or enroll in a certification?
Yes, and Dr. Group encourages it. His advisors are here to listen and to help you find the path that fits your life. They do not work on commission, which means their only purpose is to serve you honestly, never to sell to you.

Do you offer payment plans?
Yes. The Global Healing Institute offers payment plans through trusted third party services, including Affirm and PayPal, for students in the United States. For international students, and for those in the United States who prefer another option, the Institute offers a payment plan spread across 12 months directly.
Grants are also offered directly from the Institute at certain times. These grants do not have to be paid back. The Global Healing Institute team will gladly walk you through whatever fits your situation when grants are available.
What is your refund policy?
If a program is not the right fit, you may request a full refund within 14 days of purchase, provided you have completed less than 10 percent of the course. *Both conditions must be met in order to receive a refund.
To begin, contact the support team by email or phone, and they will guide you with care. When eligible, refunds are returned to your original payment method, less any processing fees, within the standard processing period.
What is the Healing Circle?
The Healing Circle is the community Dr. Group created for those who wish to keep learning and healing together. This monthly membership is where members join live community masterclasses with Dr. Group each month, explore a library of his protocols and teachings, connect inside the private community, and receive access to his “Ask Dr. Group” research tool.

Yes, and by understanding the Root Causes of Disease, you will be equipped with a clear path back to wellness, health, vitality, and renewed emotional health.
With the required reading and video courses, it is estimated that it require at least 1000 hours to complete this certification program.
Your role as a Health Coach is one of holding space, guidance, and finding the right solutions for your client’s goals. All of these require that you have the correct information at your fingertips. You will have a comprehensive list of strategies, processes, and action plans to provide your clients with balanced nutrition and lifestyle plans. In this certification, we will also focus on the effects of one’s environment and emotions on health. Due to these epigenetic effects, many factors outside of nutrition are crucial to consider within the context of coaching and life. You will learn how to create root-cause solutions.
As a Health Coach, it’s imperative to experience what you are teaching. This process is like no other!
